TO CLEAN: Wash regularly in hot water with mild detergent; rinse before use. Safe methods to sanitize: Place in boiling water for two

minutes. Let cool before use. Place in top rack of home dishwasher or home sterilizer.

In the event the pacier becomes lodged in the mouth, DO NOT PANIC; it cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an

event. Remove from the mouth with care, as gently as possible.

Q. How many JollyPops do I need?

Babies become accustomed to JollyPop pacier and often refuse to switch to a di-erent brand. We suggest you keep a few on hand in

case some get lost. For the best value choose the 10 Pack or the Value Pack.

Q. My baby got the Preemie size JollyPop in the NICU — can I use it at home?

Yes, if your pediatrician or NICU caregiver recommends using the Preemie size at home. Most preemies should transition to the JollyPop

Newborn for home use.

Q. What size is recommended for Preemies that are discharged to home?

We recommend the JollyPop Newborn for Preemies discharged to home. The only di-erence is the Preemie JollyPop nipple size is smaller

and the handle is a tab-style (not a loop).

Q. Can JollyPop be used by breastfeeding babies?

JollyPop has a natural nipple shape that may help avoid “nipple confusion.” Many breastfeeding moms have written to tell us that the

JollyPop nipple is good for breastfeeding babies and for babies that do not root well.

Q. When is it recommended to use a pacier?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) published guidelines recommending pacier use at naptime or bedtime to help reduce the

Q. What is the di-erence between JollyPop Newborn and Plus+?

Plus+ nipple is made of more durable silicone to last longer when babies are beginning to teethe.

Both Newborn and Plus+ have nubs on the handle. The JollyPop nipple is not designed for teething.

Q. When my baby is starting to teethe is it ok to continue using JollyPop?

We recommend you o-er the Plus+ and a teether. The nubs on the JollyPop handle are designed for babies to chew. The Plus+ nipple is

made of more durable silicone to last longer when babies are beginning to teethe. The nipple is not designed to be a teether. If your baby

has teeth or is teething: check the pacier for signs of wear due to chewing before each use. If there are any tears, especially in the nipple

area, discard the pacier and discontinue use. Replace with a new pacier, or introduce a teether.

Q. When my baby has teeth is it ok to continue using JollyPop?

Paciers are not designed to endure the wear and tear of baby teeth. If your baby has teeth or is teething, check the pacier for signs of

wear due to chewing before each use. If there are any tears, especially in the nipple area, discard the pacier and discontinue use or

replace with a new pacier.

Q. What safety requirements does the JollyPop pacier meet?

Paciers are regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an agency of the U.S. government. JollyPop passes all USA required

safety tests; Consumer Product Safety Commission 16CFR 1511. JollyPop specially packaged for sale in EU countries pass EN1400.

Q. What materials are JollyPop paciers made of?

100% medical grade silicone. JollyPops are phthalate-free, latex-free, DEHP-free and BPA-free.

Q. What’s the dierence between Unscented and Vanilla scented JollyPops, and why Vanilla scent?

The only di-erence is a light vanilla scent. Professional literature suggests vanilla scent might be soothing to babies.

Q. Where is the Vanilla Scent sourced from and how long does the scent last?

The scent is an FDA-approved vanilla essence added to the silicone in the manufacturing process. Like all vanilla oil, it comes from vanilla

beans. Vanilla is considered a food and is regarded as safe. The scent may last 3 months, depending on use.

Q. What is the best way to clean JollyPop paciers?

Wash regularly in hot water with mild detergent; rinse thoroughly before giving to baby. To sanitize, place in boiling water for two minutes.

Let it cool before giving to baby. Some parents put JollyPops in the dishwasher or use a home sterilizer. All these methods are safe.

Q. Can JollyPop paciers be sanitized in hospital autoclave sterilizers?

Yes. The JollyPop structural and performance characteristics are not a-ected by a single autoclave sterilization. Suggested settings: 12 to

20 minutes at 121C. We do not know the e-ects of repeated sterilization and repeated sterilizations are not recommended.

Q. How long can a pacier be used?

We recommend replacing JollyPop after 2 months of use for safety and hygiene reasons. The pacier should be replaced even earlier if it is

damaged in any way. It is recommended that you inspect the pacier carefully before each use by pulling it in all directions to check its

safety.

Q. How do I know my pacier is safe to use?

We recommend that you always manually check the pacier before giving it to your child:

Inspect carefully before each use, especially when the child has teeth.

• Pull the pacifier in all directions.

• Insure that there are no hairline cracks in the product.

• Always use this product under adult supervision.

• Discard at the first signs of damage or weakness.

Q. How should I attach a pacier clip to JollyPop?

You can safely attach a pacier clip to the loop-shaped handle. NEVER attach anything to the rim of a pacier or block the pacier holes. All

approved paciers have these holes. If your baby swallows a pacier, the holes ensure your baby can breathe until you get medical help.

Q. When should my baby stop using JollyPop?

It is up to parents to decide at what age their baby should stop using a pacier. If your baby can t the entire JollyPop in his or her mouth,

discontinue use.

Q. Can babies swallow the pacier?

JollyPop complies with safety standards and size regulations for paciers. In rare cases, babies can manage to squeeze the entire pacier in

their mouths. In the event the pacier becomes lodged in the mouth, DO NOT PANIC; it cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with

such an event. Remove from the mouth with care, as gently as possible.
